How to install a realme OTA package (.ozip)

realme publishes its full OTA packages as .ozip files. You install them from the phone’s file manager or from recovery. Your data stays unless you choose to wipe it.

Before you start

  • Use the package for your exact model number (for example RMX3085), shown in Settings → About phone.
  • Use the same or a newer version, and a package for your region.
  • Charge above 30% and back up.

Steps

  1. Copy the .ozip to the phone’s internal storage. Don’t rename or unzip it.
  2. Open File Manager, find the file and tap it.
  3. Tap Update now and wait for the phone to restart and finish.

From recovery (phone won’t start)

  1. Turn the phone off. Hold Volume Down + Power until the recovery menu appears, and pick your language.
  2. Choose Install from storage → From phone storage (or SD card).
  3. Select the .ozip and confirm. Don’t interrupt the process.

If something goes wrong

  • “Invalid update package”: the file is for another model or incomplete. Compare the MD5 checksum on the file page.
  • Newer realme UI versions sometimes hide local install. In that case use realme’s Software Update Tool for Windows linked on realme’s support site, or install from recovery.
