How to install an OnePlus / OPPO full update (local install)
OnePlus (OxygenOS) and OPPO (ColorOS) full packages install from the phone without a computer. Your data stays as long as you install the same or a newer version for your region.
Before you start
- Match the model number (Settings → About device, for example CPH2449) and the region (EU, IN, GLO, NA, CN). Region packages are not interchangeable.
- Use the same or a newer version — older ones are refused.
- Charge above 50% and back up.
- Download links for some packages are generated on the spot and expire after a few minutes. Start the download right after clicking, and use the checksum to confirm it finished.
Steps
- Copy the .zip to the top level of internal storage.
- Older OxygenOS / ColorOS: Settings → System → System updates → ⚙ or ⋮ menu → Local upgrade, then pick the file.
- OxygenOS 13 and newer, ColorOS 13 and newer: local install is hidden. Install OnePlus’s official Local Update APK (often called OPLocalUpdate), open it, choose the file and tap Install.
- The phone verifies the file, installs it and restarts.
If something goes wrong
- “Verification failed”: wrong model or region, or an incomplete download. Check the MD5 on the file page.
- The option doesn’t appear: use the Local Update app from step 3.
